Happy Thursday everyone! It's a spooky season at IHD and we are midway through one of our favourite spirit weeks of the year, Halloween Dress Up week. Today we’re going to talk about some of our favourite ways to celebrate the spookiest time of year!
Dressing Up
It’s not often a dancer misses a chance to be in costume. Whether its at the studio, on stage or trick or treating we never miss a chance to indulge in the sparkly, the colourful or the creepy side of our personalities. So pull out those old recital costumes and create the costume of your dreams!
Getting Creative
Dancers are creatives. From repurposing dance costumes for Halloween night to decorating your house or room, Halloween week is the perfect time to get creative. In your classes your teachers will be getting creative adding some Halloween fun to your classes. Take some time this week to explore your creativity by doing some creepy crafts, creating different costumes or making up a Halloween dance.
Getting Together
Another great part of Halloween week is it gives us an excuse to get together.Halloween parties, trick or treating, & dance classes are the perfect way to get together with friends. Take this time to reconnect with your buddies, enjoy some candy and each other’s company.
Dancing it Out
The final way dancers celebrate the spooky season, is of course dancing! From Halloween themed dance classes, to dancing at parties with friends, to making up your own Halloween themed dance or improving in your living room, there are so many ways to get dancing this Halloween!
Wishing you all a Happy Halloween week! Get dressed up, get creative, get together and as always dance your way through spooky season.
