Environmental Working Group

The Environmental Working Group is the nation’s leading environmental health research and advocacy organization.  EWG uses the power of information to create cutting-edge research and advocacy that transform government policies and the marketplace in order to conserve land and water, produce and use energy responsibly and ensure that food and consumer products are free of harmful chemicals. Their goal is to create a healthier and cleaner environment for the next generation and beyond.

Back to School - This article is important because our children's health is our future.  Being aware of the everyday toxins and risks can help us take action to remove or at least reduce exposure.

Cell Phone Radiation - As parents and professionals, we lead busy lives.  This causes many of us to spend alot of time on cell phones.  This increases our exposure to radiation and can lead to negative health effects.  Do you wear a headset or take any measures to reduce your exposure?

I encourage you to like the EWG site on facebook.  Not only do they publish interesting and important research relating to health & wellness but you can also look up any common household or cosmetic product you use for a safety rating!

*I like to use this website when making personal care item or household products.  It helps me make a comparison for which is the safest.

Additionally, by liking their Facebook page, you will stay in the loop on important health issues and they will SEND YOU offered great eco -riendly products when you donate (such as recipe books, stainless steel water bottles, stainless steel food containers, coupons etc.).

Multicultural Event

In Harmony Dance spent the day at the Town of Newmarket's Multicultural Event on Saturday, July 20 at Fairy Lake in Newmarket. In Harmony Dance staff and volunteers worked a booth to promote the studio, give out program information and showcase our dancers.  Our dancers put on a 30 minute performance of 12 routines and they did a fantastic job.  Thank you dancers and parents for coming out to show your support for the studio and for sharing in this fun day!!
