September Round Up

Happy Wednesday everyone!

We can’t believe we almost reached the end of our first month back to dance. It has been such a pleasure to welcome new faces into the studio along with returning customers, some after a long break. We’ve also enjoyed having parents back into the studio to watch their dancers, chat in the lobby and meet each other. The studio feels more vibrant and full of energy again and that fills our hearts with so much joy. At the end of each month we love to look back at what we’ve accomplished (a great practice to do for yourself as well). So here’s what we got up to this month.

We Reunited!

After summer break, we got back to the studio! Old friends reunited and new friends were made. Many students we had not seen in a few years returned to the studio and all were welcomed back to the studio. We also welcomed back Miss Jewell and Miss Sarah as teachers, who after completing their degrees have came back to their home studio to teach.

We got back to work!

All of our recreational and competitive programs started for our 18th season this month. After months of planning we started off all these programs with a bang. We welcomed hundreds of students through our door including competitive students, dancers returning to the studio after a long break, recreational students trying a class for the first time and those returning from next year or the summer off. We got back to training and learning new skills and started our 2022/2023 competitive routines.

We Performed

Our Recreational Performance Team got right back to what they do best (really they never took a break). In partnership with Simcoe Contemporary Dancers our performance team performed “Rock, Paper, Scissors”, a piece choreographed by our very own Miss Jaqui as part of Culture Days at the Maclaren Arts Centre.

We Planned

With so much of our season still ahead of us, we did a lot of planning for an exciting new year. From planning October events like Halloween Dress up Week & Parent’s Night Out to looking at the year ahead, planning things like competitive ideas and costumes and our Holiday show, this year is shaping up to be a good one.

We are so proud of what we’ve already accomplished this September and are looking forward to an exciting year full of friendship, mentorship, activity, creativity and dance. Registration is ongoing! Want to join the fun? Reach out today.
